I’m so sorry. Mine’s quiet short reflection.
Describe your artwork. What have you created?
I created a piece of art where a person is looking out towards the sea with a pair of binoculars. The person sees a mermaid on a rock. They are in shock at what they are looking at.
Does your design relate successfully to your chosen Learner Profile word?
My design relates successfully to my chosen learner profile word inquirer. The person wants to know why is there mermaid, where is mermaid from.
Did you find it challenging to cut your design from the Linoleum?
I didn’t feel particularly difficult. Because I have experienced it when i was in Japan. But, I made a mistake to cut of the part which I shouldn’t.(The person’ s left finger)
Are you happy with what you have printed? If so, why?
Yes, because I could create printing what I wanted. I think I could express the part of wave as I had wanted. I like these pink and blue colour. But I want to change the place of colour. Because I wanted to express the sea in blue.
If you were to do it all again, what would you do differently?
If I create same design, I’ll change the colour. The mermaid and sea are blue, the person is a other colour. Also, I make more precise design.
Or, I change the design. Communicator is *1, and inquirer is *2.
What have you learnt during this unit? Eg. idea generation, planning a picture, using unfamiliar materials or processes (lino board, cutting tools), reflecting on artwork etc.
I learned I became to be able to think many things from one theme. Also, I learned how to cut and print lino board.
