self portrait reflection

Aim to write a minimum of 300 words.

I drew my self portrait in this Art unit. We learned how does stared self portrait and how felt does drew famous artist in the past. Also we learned how to draw self portrait as eye, profile of the face and lip in lesson. I drew many person at significant frequency in my life. However I never drew self portrait as real. So I content quite what I knew structure of the human face and body in this unit. I think there is different in between my first portrait and last portrait. When I drew my self portrait first time, that look odd posture of nose, size of neck and eye’s size. That was as comic or anime. However, I think I could change those points each lesson’s practice. I drew my full‐length portrait, cherry blossom and background for this self portrait unit. I’m wearing traditional clothing of Japan, background is a shinto shrine and cherry blossom is national flower of Japan. I thought my most important personality is I’m Japanese so I drew the full range of relevant Japan. A reason of why did I drew full‐length portrait is I haven’t an expressive face. So I want to show me by throughout the body. On another front, I couldn’t drew my face exactly same, I think that was grew up from my first portrait, but it’s still as anime. My nose was little bit high and small. However, I content my self portrait. When I draw self portrait next time, I will see to those points.

My most challenging of this self portrait unit was aspect. I have a difficult time doing draw my aspect. Aspect will quite chang only draw one line. When I drew my face, I took care to mouth. I wanted drew aspect of who give a small smile to outside of paint. So I drew who lift the corner of the mouth, but I spent a lot of time for draw that mouth. For the last time, I think I could show that aspect.

I learnt a lot of thing about self portrait in this unit. I learnt how to draw profile of the face, at first draw circle as an egg then add one vertical line and two transverse lines as the cross. Eyes are on upper transverse line and nose is on under line. Ears are between eyes and nose. A space of between mouth and nose is small. Size of neck is almost same to face. Oral end draw thickly and center of mouth is brightly as the light shines. I was hard pressed to draw aspect. However, I learnt how to draw those parts. So I could draw as well and I enjoyed this unit, I feel pleasure to my self portrait.
